Staff members of Hultgren Funeral Home are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors.

Brad Aardema
Funeral Director
Brad grew up in Orland Park, Illinois and has been with Hultgren Funeral Home since 2019. Brad is a 2006 graduate of Chicago Christian High School and a 2010 graduate of Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights, Illinois. He completed his studies at Worsham College of Mortuary Science and has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer in Illinois since 2013. Brad lives in Wheaton with his wife, Anna, and their five children: Tessa, Owen, Myles, Audrey & Micah. The Aardema’s attend Glen Ellyn Bible Church in Glen Ellyn.

Funeral Director
Tim has been the owner of the funeral home for over 25 years and has been a licensed funeral director for almost 40 years. He and his wife, Susan, actively participate in all aspects of the funeral home.
Tim enjoys photography, sports and the outdoors. He has three adult children and lives part time in Wheaton and part time in Wisconsin.

Susan Dyer-Hultgren
Funeral Director
Susan Hultgren is a leader in the funeral industry. She is well known as the former embalming teacher at Worsham College. She is also a member of the Cook County Medical Examiner's Board, a longtime board member and current President of Cook County Funeral Director’s Association, and the Proctor for the State of Illinois Board of Professional Regulations. She loves her dog, has been an active volunteer, and has lived in the Wheaton area most of her life.

Tom Wysocki
Funeral Director
Tom has served as a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer since 2016 and joined our staff in 2024. He is a 2015 graduate of Worsham College of Mortuary Science and earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Eastern Illinois University in 2007. Tom is also a proud graduate of St. Francis High School in Wheaton, class of 2002.
Raised in Winfield, Tom has spent most of his life in the western suburbs and remains deeply connected to the local community. He attends St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Winfield and is passionate about conservation and the outdoors. Tom volunteers with the Friends of Des Plaines State Fish & Wildlife Area and the Illinois Prairie Path, and he enjoys helping his brother and father-in-law with farming and beekeeping.
A lifelong history enthusiast, Tom is an active member of the NWTA and participates in Revolutionary War reenactments. He is also involved with several organizations, including Toller Rescue Inc., the ACLU, St. Charles Sportsman’s Club, and Aurora Sportsman’s Club.
In his free time, Tom enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and their dog, Simon, whom he is training as a hunting companion. He also enjoys reading, knitting, woodworking, cooking, and fishing.

Abi Davoust
Funeral Director
Abi Davoust has been a valued member of Hultgren Funeral Home for many years, where she is dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care to every family she serves. As a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer, as well as a Certified Cremation Specialist, Abi views her work as a meaningful ministry to the community.
Outside of the funeral home, Abi is actively involved in her church and enjoys illustrating children’s books as a creative outlet. She also loves traveling and spending quality time with her family. Abi resides in Wheaton with her husband, Rob, and their two daughters.

Kassandra originally hails from New Jersey and moved with her family to Batavia, Illinois, prior to attending Batavia Senior High School. Darcy Kolschefski, CPC
Preplanning Consultant
Mr. Darcy Kolschefski is our Family Services Advisor and directs our Pre-Need and After-Care Services. He is state licensed and was awarded the nationally recognized Certified Preplanning Consultant (CPC) designation by the National Funeral Directors Association. He is a qualified and knowledgeable individual who is committed to providing ethical and caring advance planning and aftercare services to all families. “Those who have earned the CPC designation have achieved a unique career distinction that is highly valued by families that want to plan meaningful funerals in advance,” according to Colleen Murphy Klein, of the NFDA. Darcy and, his Wife, Holly live in Wheaton and they have two married daughters, Amanda and Kira and a son, Kyle. Amanda Salovich and, her husband, Jeff live in the Minneapolis area in Bloomington. They have four children, Hannah, Timmy, Kenan and Micah. Kira Wheat and, her husband Jonathan, live in the Chicago area in Wheaton and have two children, Jace and Ella. Holly is a resource specialist for Deloitte in Chicago. Amanda is a Teacher's Assistant for the Bloomington Public Schools System. Jeff runs the HVAC department for the Minneapolis Court House. They are active in their church, Hillside Church of Bloomington. Kira is a CPA with Blackman Kallick and Jonathan owns a retail store in Naperville called Gorilla Games. They are active in Wheaton Bible Church. Kyle is serving his country in the United States Marine Corp. Darcy and his family are deeply committed to their faith in Christ and are passionate about our country's heritage . They enjoy music, the arts, politics, and U.S. history.

Bill Nordin
Preplanning Consultant
Bill Nordin serves as a Preplanning Consultant at Hultgren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, helping families prepare with clarity and care. Inspired by his own experience after his father’s passing, he guides others through planning with a respectful, no-pressure approach. Bill graduated from Bethel University in St. Paul, MN and is a licensed life and health insurance agent. He lives in Winfield with his wife, Heidi, and has three grown children.
