Tad
Mallery
December 15, 1956 – January 8, 2022
Samuel Tad Mallery "Tad", age 65, a resident of Elgin, IL, passed away on Saturday, January 8th, 2022. He was born on December 15, 1956 in Allegheny, PA to Samuel and Naomi Mallery (Fast).
Tad grew up in Wheaton, IL, was a proud Wheaton North High School Falcon, and graduated from Ball State University with a degree in visual arts. A talented artist, he ran his own Graphic Design company "Graphiti" for over 30 years, serving a variety of corporate clients. Once someone worked with Tad, they tended to remain a client for years.
In his high school years, Tad was very active in sports, playing on the varsity teams for football, wrestling, baseball, and track. In college, his interest turned to Rugby and he continued team play for several years after graduation. Tad was a man of deep faith and served as a Deacon and contributing artist during his many years as a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton.
His family and friends meant the world to Tad. Some of his fondest memories were of fishing trips with his dear friends, golfing with his golf buddies, and joining his friends on architecture tours. He was an incredibly thoughtful man and will be missed greatly for his kindness, love of family, and touch of whimsy. He brought courage and laughter to our lives on a daily basis.
Tad is survived by his father, Samuel Mallery, his sisters Melissa Bansch (Eric) and Kimberly Mallery (Joseph Popp), and his brother, James Shawn Mallery "Shawn" (Kathleen), his son Robert José and his daughter Allison as well as an extended family that will miss him greatly.
Tad was preceded in death by his mother, Naomi Mallery.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 15th at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton, 715 Carlton, Ave, in Wheaton, IL. Private interment to follow at Wheaton Cemetery in Wheaton, IL.
