Seth T. Bortscheller, age 17, passed away June 24, 2020, at home in Wheaton. He was born April 17, 2003 in Winfield, Illinois to Tom & Mary Bortscheller.

Seth had a big heart, he loved God, baseball, family and friends. Seth participated in Student Impact at Willow Creek Wheaton. He was in a small group, went to camps and served on a mission trip in Chicago's inner city. Seth had a passion for baseball and took many trips to games both major and minor league and loved to see the Cubs play at other stadiums. Seth touched many lives from friends and teachers to professional sports players to Harley Davidson riders and healthcare professionals. He will be truly missed by all. Seths family will miss his humor, his smile and the way he could tell you his thoughts with merely a look or grunt. Seth, we love you, we will miss you dearly and we will see you again one day.

He is survived by his parents, Tom & Mary Bortscheller, his sister Sydney Bortscheller, maternal grandparents Edward & Patricia McFarland, and his paternal grandparents Ronald & Dorothy Bortscheller.

Seth was preceded in death by his sister Samantha Bortscheller.

A memorial service to celebrate Seth's life will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2020, at 4:00 p.m. Due to social distancing requirements, this service is limited to Seth's immediate family and friends. The service will be broadcasted live and will be available to be viewed below.
