Ronald G. Pilz, age 66, a resident of Carol Stream, IL, since 1985, went to be with the Lord, suddenly on Wednesday, January 9, 2019. He was born August 6, 1952 in Melrose Park, IL to Richard and Lillian Pilz.

Ron grew up in Glen Ellyn and attended Glenbard West High School and graduated from Wheaton Central High School. He worked for almost 30 years at Meyercord Company as a press operator. He then worked at Mountain Graphix. He was a jack of all trades and worked in many jobs including Domino's Pizza. Recently he has enjoyed his work with Essendant.

He loved riding his motorcycle. He was an outgoing person who loved to talk to anyone and had a great sense of humor. He was a proud fan of Chicago sports teams and he enjoyed bowling. He was actively involved at Faith Baptist Church in Winfield where he taught Sunday School and worked in AWANA. He loved spending time with his family and being with his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Cheryl Pilz, four children, Ron Jr. (Angi) Pilz of Texas, Michael (Alma) Pilz of Aurora, Rebecca (Derek) Warnicke of St. Charles and Bryan Pilz of Carol Stream, seven grandchildren, Grant, Jacob, Aubrey, Dylan, Cole, Teagan, and Haley, his mother, Lillian Pilz of Alabama, brothers, Richard (Roz) Pilz of Oregon, Robert (Leslie) Pilz of Florida, Randall Pilz of Alabama, his sister, Sandra (Larry) Howard of Alabama and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law, Steven (Denise) Ballard and Paul (Missy) Ballard, sister-in-law, Diane(Mike) Jesch and his mother-in-law, Charlene Ballard. He was preceded in death by his father.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 from 4 to 8 at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Faith Baptist Church, 27W010 Parkway Dr., Winfield, IL 60190. Interment will follow at Wheaton Cemetery in Wheaton.
