Marie A.
Polino
May 27, 1933 – August 12, 2021
Marie A. Polino, age 88, went to be with her Lord on August 12, 2021. She was born on May27, 1933 in Chicago to Anthony and Marie Sarro.
Marie Antoinette Polino will be remembered as a passionate and dramatic woman. Her incredibly quick wit and humor was legendary amongst everyone that knew her. Usually the first thing people would say about Mom was how much she made them laugh. She became a second mother to Jill's friends and many others. This is not surprising since Marie set a standard for motherhood. Marie was a gorgeous woman, and she was known for her fashionable outfits. She was just as beautiful inside as evidenced by her wisdom, listening ear and generosity. She had the gift of hospitality, throwing terrific birthday parties for her 4 children and producing heavily laden holiday tables including the world's best lasagna and roast beef. One of the greatest joys in Marie's life was the time she spent schooling and shaping the character of two of her beloved Grandsons, Noah and Joel Polino. She faithfully served God by hosting a large weekly bible study in her home for over 20 years. Marie also served as President of the SW Christian Women's Club. She was dedicated to studying scripture and for years would wake up to study daily at 4:30 AM while the house was quiet, and we know the Word will never be returned void. Surely when she entered the Gates of Heaven, she was warmly greeted with, "Well done my good and faithful servant."
She is survived by her daughter Jill VandenBrook and sons Tony and Perry (Helen) Polino. Her husband Walter and daughter Amanda were waiting for her in heaven along with other beloved family and friends.
