Joan I. Siegmann passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 4, 2022 at the age of 92.  She was born March 24, 1930 in New York City to Christopher & Elizabeth Witherstine, their only child.

She was preceded in death by her high school sweetheart & loving husband Charles.

Joan was the mother of two daughters; Joanne (Enn) Meister & Susan (Norman) Hull. She was Nana to her seven grandchildren: Betsy, Cate, Scott, Emily, Meghan, Charlie & Lindsay. She was Gi Gi to 18 great-grandchildren.

Her early childhood years were spent in West Hempstead & Garden City, New York. She graduated from Hempstead High School in 1947 and Cazenovia College in 1949.

She married her husband, Charles, in 1953.

They raised their daughters in Garden City New York before moving to Maryland. After a few years another transfer to the Chicago are where the family resided in Wheaton for the past 50 years.

Joan was actively involved in the Central DuPage Hospital Women's auxiliary, where she was chairman of various committees. She enjoyed playing golf at GlenOak Country Club & spending time at the family's second home in northern Wisconsin. Joan was the happiest enjoying time with her two daughters and their families.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton where services will be private.
