Joan M. Bregman, age 67, a longtime resident of Wheaton, IL., died on Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at Delnor Community Hospital, Geneva, Illinois.  She was born June 14, 1950 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Vernon and Lois Grobe.

Joan was a lifelong learner.  She began her career as a dental hygienist and returned to school to become a speech pathologist. During that time she raised two children and along with them gained fluency in Spanish and the art of viola. Throughout all this, she supported her husband's work in medical practice. Her family was her life and her total focus.

Joan was a member of A.A.U.W. and a regular volunteer at the Peoples Resource Center in Wheaton.

Joan is survived by her husband, Dr. Andrew Bregman, her children, Ann (Sachin) Bregman Singh and Ben (Landi) Bregman, three grandchildren, Luxmi, Landon and Dean, her mother, Lois Kovarik, her twin sister, Jan Brooks and her brother, Jim Grobe.

A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 from 9 AM until 12 noon followed by a memorial service at Faith Lutheran Church, 41 N. Park Boulevard, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137.
