Jennifer Anne Hooten, age 49, a resident of Wheaton, IL, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 19, 2017. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She was born May 27, 1968 in Oak Park to John and Antoinette Sendra.

Jennifer graduated from Benet Academy in Lisle, Illinois and received a bachelor's degree from Illinois Benedictine University. On May 19, 1990, she married the love of her life, David Hooten at College Church in Wheaton.

Before the birth of her children, she worked as a lab technician at Hines VA Hospital.

Jennifer's faith, and her love for Jesus, was evident in all of her relationships. She was deeply devoted to her children, her husband, her parents and her family. She was a tireless advocate for families with autistic children.

She is survived by her husband, David Hooten, two children, Austen and Jacob, her parents, John and Toni Sendra, brother, Anthony (Paulina) Sendra, and nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Glen Ellyn Bible Church , 501 Hillside Avenue
Glen Ellyn, IL 60137, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held at Wheaton Cemetery in Wheaton, Illinois.
