Elaine Catherine Rosser, age 97, a resident of Carol Stream, IL, died December 12, 2023, at Lakeview Memory Care in Bloomingdale, Illinois. She was born November 24, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois to John and Mary Elizabeth Rowe.

Known for her bright smile, determination and sincerity, Elaine excelled at customer service oriented jobs in retail, clerical, real estate and  mortgage lending. She retired from a long career at First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Westchester ending her professional life as a Vice President there. A lifelong resident of suburban Chicago, Elaine's Catholic faith anchored  all aspects of her life. Orphaned at a young age, Elaine thrived under the guidance and love of the women religious and priests at Maryville Academy continuing deep friendships with classmates and nuns for over 80 years. Elaine met her husband, Bob at a parish dance and found parish life at St. John Neumann in St. Charles and St. Luke Parish in Carol Stream, enriching their later years.  She loved being the matriarch of a large extended family participating in holiday traditions which were always filled with her joyful laughter and positivity. Elaine loved to read, joined a book club and tutored adult education students. Elaine was a devoted friend and fond aunt, great aunt and great, great aunt to many, enjoying the simple pleasures of tea and something sweet with those she loved.

She was a loving mother to daughter, Maryellen (Steven) Bilek, sons Richard (Harriet) Rosser, Ronald (Alice) Rosser and Robert (Ellen) Rosser, beloved grandmother of James (Amelia )  Rosser, David (Lindsay) Rosser, and Jennifer (Armond) Aghakhani, proud great grandmother to Robbie and Wesley Rosser, cherished aunt of Mary Catherine Miller, John Vincent (Sue) Sheehan, Annette (Steven) Sorich.

A visitation will be held Friday, December 15, 2023 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm at Hultgren Funeral Home, 565 Randy Road in Carol Stream. A funeral mass will be held December 16, 2023 at 10:00am at St. Luke Parish, 401 Cochise Ct., in Carol Stream. Prayers at the funeral home will begin at 9:15am. Interment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
