Claudia Switzer, age 69, a resident of Warrenville, IL, passed away at home with her family present on Wednesday, August 21, 2019.  She was born March 1, 1950 in California to Jack and Muriel Berry.

Claudia grew up in Southern California and graduated from Narbonne High School in 1968. She earned her Associates Degree in Art History from Harbor City College. She worked as a paralegal in Hawaii. She retired to work with horses on her grandfather's ranch in Creston, California. She continued to show horses from her ranch in Minco, Oklahoma and was involved with American Quarter Horse Association. She was a professional horse trainer and an AQHA Cutting Horse World Champion. In 2015, she and her beloved dog, Esther, moved to Warrenville to be near family.

Her faith was centered in Christ, and she abided in His presence each and every day. Having come to Christ later in life, she was quick to walk alongside Him and live in accordance with the Scriptures. Immanuel Presbyterian Church in Warrenville was very dear to her. Her church family lovingly ministered to her and she coveted their prayers, even to the end of her life.

She is survived by her two sons, Evan (Kristin) McDaniel of Aliso Viejo and Ron (Julie) Haydon of Warrenville, three grandchildren, Jack, Graham and Kate. She is also survived by two siblings, Ronald (Marcia) Berry and Loretta Berry and her dear cousin, Marilyn Ernest.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Presbyterian Church,29 W 260 Batavia Road, Warrenville, IL 60555,here friends may visit with the family prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m.
