Carl Anthony Francik, age 74, a resident of Roscoe, IL, formerly of Wheaton, IL, died January 3, 2020, peacefully at home.

He was born September 26, 1945 in East Chicago, Indiana to Carl and Anne Francik. Carl was the eldest of 8 children. In his early years he grew up in Whiting, Indiana then in 1957 his family moved to Palos Heights where he attended Carl Sandburg high school. Carl then graduated with an associates degree from the Art Institute of Chicago. After that he joined the army and was stationed in Turkey as a nuclear weapons electrical specialist. When he returned home he worked as a graphic artist, designing artwork for restaurants and advertisements. In 1975 Carl and Elody married he started his own business Francik graphic. They raised four loving children and various pets. Carl loved the Sox's the Bears, art and comedy. but he especially loved his family. He will be missed.
