Angela Marie Krc's Obituary

Angela Marie Krc, age 61, passed away at home in Wheaton, Illinois on Sunday, May 16, 2021, after a long illness. She was born on August 10, 1959 in Spokane, Washington to Andrew and Ida Alexandrovich.

Angie loved the Lord, and cherished her husband Dan and their three sons, Matthew, Samuel, and Daniel.

Dan and Angie had a wonderful marriage for 33 years, and spent most of their time together. After their marriage in Dallas, Dan and Angie moved to Illinois, eventually settling in Wheaton.

A naturally caring person, Angie relished her role as a stay-at-home mom as the boys were growing up. She devoted her substantial energies to their nurturing, and on the important work of maintaining a loving home.

As her sons grew, Angie was able to go back to work to supplement the family income, while still prioritizing her roles as wife and mother. She joined Dan at Marc Realty, a Chicago-area commercial real estate firm, for twenty-four years, the last eleven full-time at the downtown corporate office during their empty-nest years.  This gave her the opportunity to commute with Dan and unwind from the workday with him.   They loved to spend evenings together by swimming laps at the health club and streaming favorite TV shows.

Angie cultivated a network of lasting friendships and was known among those close to her for her warm, giving spirit. Her friends knew her as a loving, caring individual who was easy to talk to and listened well. She was seen as a sincere friend who took genuine interest in relationships. Acquaintances both old and new found that she had a matter-of-fact kindness, a sweet spirit, and a beautiful soul. She had a charitable nature that extended to all her friends, neighbors, and others in need; on more than one occasion, Angie and Dan opened their home to guests for an extended period.

Angie had many interests, and travel was near the top of the list. Her travels often took her and her family out west, where she had grown up and still had many relatives. She loved to visit her hometown of Spokane and from there to the beautiful beaches of the Oregon coast. She also enjoyed visiting Arizona, where she had often vacationed in her youth and continued to visit throughout her life. Despite her quiet demeanor, Angie had an adventurous heart for exploration, and loved to be accompanied by her family and friends in these adventures.

Angie loved games and puzzles of all types. Jigsaw puzzles on the coffee table were a leisure-time staple for Angie, this being a pastime she shared with her mom, sisters, and friends. A morning backgammon game over coffee with Dan was such a daily routine that a small backgammon set even ended up in the luggage on family trips. Angie was also a master cribbage player and always enjoyed challenging others to a game.

Making those around her feel loved was one of Angie's greatest joys. She had a generous nature and took great satisfaction in finding thoughtful gifts for friends and family, and was always able to find the best deals on them. Almost every trip to the store ended up with something nice for someone other than herself.

In addition to her husband, Dan Krc, and her sons, Matthew (Kathryn) Krc, Samuel Krc and Daniel Krc, Angie is survived by her father, Andrew Alexandrovich; siblings Anthony (Ming) Alexandrovich, Joseph (Jeannie) Alexandrovich, Theresa (John) Alcamo, Steven (Pam) Alexandrovich, Mary (Dwight) Whiting, Paula (Cliff) Drayton, Peter (Elizabeth) Alexandrovich, and Tanya (Deron) Dawson; mother-in-law Rose Krc, sister-in-law Elizabeth (Bill) Simmons and brother-in-law Paul Krc. She is also survived by a great many cousins, nieces, nephews, and loving personal friends.

A memorial service will be held at College Church in Wheaton on Saturday, July 24 at 1pm.
