Patryk A. Naurecki, age 5, a resident of Carol Stream, IL, died Monday, September 28, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, IL. He was born September 18, 2004 in Winfield, IL.

Patryk is survived by his loving parents Patrick and Trina Naurecki, his grandparents Marek and Teresa Naurecki, Jeffrey and Vickie Rowland, Uncles Jeffrey Rowland, Lukasz Naurecki, and Pawel Naurecki, Great Grandparents Eleanor Rowland and Lynn Laehn and many Uncles, Aunts. Cousins, Family and Friends.

Patryk had just turned five years old. In his short life he touched so many hearts. His love seemed to encapsulate everyone. And, his smile was incredible. If you walked through the door of his house, he made you feel like you were the most important person in his world. He was energetic with life even when we were exhausted. But , his energy seem to spill over everyone.

At the age of two years, he was diagnosed with a rare disease called Juvenile Dermatomyocytis. A condition that brought on severe muscle weakness and skin rashes. He underwent intense treatment that would probably break the spirits of each and everyone of us. But, despite the pain, nausea, and sickness, he still managed to shine through. He had a personality bigger than the imagination. His life consisted of hospitals, Doctors, Nurses and Therapists who also could not resist his vivacious personality.

Unlike most children, Patryk could not be out in the sun. His body reacted differently than all of us. Cloudy days were perfect days. Those were the days he could go to the park, play in his sand box, ride a bike, golf, play soccer, baseball, water flowers ect. Otherwise, most activities where indoors. He loved books. He would take Grandma's green glasses and read. It would melt your heart. He loved his video games and he would challenge everyone to WII and usually win. Sometimes it was exhausting watching him play with all his excitement and energy. He would run around the house and laugh till he couldn't anymore because he had you chasing him. He Loved! His hugs and kisses were strong and powerful. He is Loved!

We ask to our family and friends to pray for us. That God give us strength in our dark times and that we can honor Patryk's wonderful life and know that one day we will all be united.
