Obituary

Brandy Gallagher, age 38, a resident of Glendale Heights, IL, passed away unexpectedly in her home on Monday, February 13, 2017. She was born in Metarie, LA, on November 10, 1978 to Burke and Molly Gallagher. She graduated from Glenbard East High School and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She worked at A Place For Mom, where she used her great compassion to help others in their time of need.

During her lifelong struggle with epilepsy, Brandy remained positive and upbeat. By always being supportive of others she became a favorite child, loving sister, confidant, and friend even to people she may have only briefly touched. She loved running, reading, crafting, theatre, Girl Scouts, Christmas (especially baking cookies for others), and buying people silly gifts all year long. She was quick to crack a joke or make a sarcastic comment. Her humor was sharp and sometimes cutting, but she was also just as quick with love. Her heart was huge, and she cared very deeply for her friends and family. If she liked you, there was no way you didn't know it. You could have just as much fun with Brandy whether you were on some great adventure with her, or sitting at home just hanging out. Everyone that knew her will miss her.
