Allen K Billingsley of Wheaton Illinois, passed away at the age of 84 on January 31 ^st at 2:15 pm.   He was born on July 24 ^th , 1932 in Cambridge, Massachusetts to Joe K and Georgiana (Brown) Billingsley.

He attended DePauw University in Greencastle Indiana and graduated in 1954.  DePauw was where he first met his wife Peg (Margaret Ellen Endres).  They married on May 28, 1955.

After graduating, he served with the United States Air Force as a navigator and flight instructor during the Korean conflict.  He was discharged from service in 1957 as a captain, and began work at Libby-Owens-Ford Glass Company as a regional sales manager.  After working 30 years at the company, he retired in 1988 and in retirement was a bus driver for DuPage Motor Coach/Laidlaw of Glen Ellen Illinois.

Allen was an avid aviation enthusiast and was a member of AOPA (Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association), founding member of the American Air Museum in Britain, as well member of the of the Air Force Association and American Air and Space Society.  He donated many navigational mementos to the Air Force Navigators Observers Association.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton and the American Legion.

Allen was preceded in death by his wife, Peg, in 1985 and his sister, Betty Fehrman, in 2004.  He has three surviving children, Kent Billingsley, Diane Gold and Laura Hensley and seven grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 5, from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home.  Private interment will be held in Poland, Ohio.
