Lydia Felter, age 78, a resident of The Moorings in Arlington Heights, IL, died June 9, 2013, in Arlington Heights, IL. She was born October 27, 1934 in Chicago, IL.
She was a teacher in both public and private schools for close to twenty years. She loved music and played piano at her church and sang in the choir. In recent years she was an active member of Willow Creek Community Church. She also loved to travel and frequently was able to combine these passions by attending Southern Gospel and Quartet conventions.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Felter of Arlington Heights, daughter Debra Dreyer of Parker, CO, sons Mark of Portland, OR and Steve (and wife Sue) of Silver Spring, MD granddaughter Jessica Dreyer of Parker ,CO, sister Ruth (and husband Paul) Erdel of Mishawaka, IN, sister-in-law Anita Deyneka of Wheaton, IL and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Peter Deyneka, Jr. and her parents Peter and Vera Deyneka.
A visitation will be held Friday, June 14, 2013 from 5-7 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, IL 60187, where a funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Wheaton Cemetery 1209 S. Warrenville Rd., Wheaton, IL 60189 on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 10:00 a.m.
