Jack Condon, age 85, a resident of Windsor Park Manor in Carol Stream, and formerly a longtime resident of Wheaton, died Thursday, August 30, at the Central Du Page Hospital. He was born on October 2, 1921 in Rahway, NJ.
Jack served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He flew 35 bomb runs over Europe including 2 on D-day. He was a 1950 graduate of Wheaton College and received an MBA from Northwestern. He worked as an Industrial Engineer for Motorola, NALCO and A. B. Dick. For many years he has been a member of College Church in Wheaton where he served as a Deacon and Church Treasurer. He was a car enthusiast who enjoyed classic cars.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jean, three sons, David Allen Condon of Glen Ellyn, Paul Warren Condon of Rockford, and John Mark Condon of Wheaton, two grandchildren, Caleb and Ariana Condon, one great-granddaughter, Arabella Condon and a brother, Al (Grace) Condon of NJ.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Condon.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 2, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. in Wheaton. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 4 at 11:00 a.m. at Windsor Park Manor, Windsor Park Dr. at North Ave., (just west of Gary Ave.) in Carol Stream.
Interment will will be held privately at Wheaton Cemetery.
