Obituary

Robert H. Bennett, age 82, a 46 year resident of Wheaton, died August 24th. He was born in Charleston, IL on October 29, 1924.

During WWII Robert served with the Army Air Corps at Foggia Italy for 2½ years. Mr. Bennett was a high school teacher and Assistant Principal who specialized in history, and economics at Charleston, IL,
Decatur, IL, and at East and West Leyden High Schools and
also at Franklin Park High School. He had a love for both music and art. He was a very active member for 40 years of the former Geneva Road Baptist Church. He had a strong devotion to his family that was evident to all.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jane; his son, Ronald (Ellen) Bennett; daughters, Nancy (Tim) Staal, and Cheryl (Russ) Weber; his grandchildren, Katie and Amy Page, Derek and Dana Weber; and three step-grandchildren, Ambra Lupano, and Taran and Alisabeth Staal.

A memorial visitation will be held Monday, August 27, from 5-6:30 P.M. at Wyndemere's Anderson Auditorium, 200 Wyndemere Circle, in Wheaton. A service will follow at 7:00 P.M. with Chaplain Dave Anderson officiating.
