Robert C. Tauchen's Obituary
Robert C. Tauchen, age 78, a resident of Elmhurst, IL, died Thursday, August 25, 2011, at West Suburban Care Center in Bloomingdale, IL. He was born July 26, 1933 in Cicero, IL.
Bob loved nature and all animals, especially dogs. Bob believed that a day without fishing was a day without sunshine.
He is survived by his daughter, Sue Ellyn (Tauchen) Sheeler of Bloomingdale, IL; his granddaughter, Jessica Rose Sheeler; and his cousin, Lillian Machacek.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet C. Tauchen.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2011 from 4-8 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, IL where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, IL.
Memorial gifts may be directed to the Morton Arboretum, 4100 IL Rte. 53, Lisle, Illinois 60532-1293.
