Yvonne E. Patterson, age 86, a resident of Park Ridge, IL, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 7, 2020. She was born on March 13, 1933 in Chicago.

Yvonne grew up in Chicago and graduated from Carl Shurz High School. She then attended Moody Bible Institute. On August 29, 1953 Yvonne married Robert "Bob" Patterson.

Her Christian faith was an important part of her life. Yvonne and Bob were active members of Albany Park Baptist Church where she taught AWANA, led women's groups and sang in the choir. In 1984 Yvonne and Bob moved to Park Ridge where they became active at South Park Church. She was also active with Christian Women's Club for several years.

Yvonne enjoyed music, playing the piano and singing. She was always busy with church events, teaching Bible Study, working on crafts and spending time with family.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Patterson, two daughters, Marilyn (Michael) Poierier of Park Ridge and Lorraine (Timothy) Burnier of Sleepy Hollow, four grandchildren, Lauren (Zachary) Whitfield, Heather (Bryan) Dovichi, Nicole Foukal, and Timothy R. Burnier, seven great-grandchildren, Hudson, Elsie, Jude, Eliot, Keaton, Colin and Anezka.

Due to health concerns related to the COVID19 Virus, services have been changed and will now be held privately. The family appreciates all the support that they have been shown. Please do not send flowers. Private interment will be held at Town of Maine Cemetery in Park Ridge, Illinois.

Memorial donations may be directed to South Park Church or Moody Bible Institute.
