Yvonne May Dedick, 70, a long-time resident of Wheaton, IL, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2025, with her family by her side. She was born on March 9, 1955, in LaRochell, France to Wallice Grifford and Polly (McLelland).

Yvonne grew up in Addison and attended Addison Trail High School, class of 1973. She went on to attend the College of DuPage for several classes over the years. Yvonne Emigrated from France to the United States in 1956. At first, she settled in Addison before moving to Bolingbrook and eventually settling in Wheaton in 1986. In 1978 Yvonne became the co-owner of Autumn Woods Cabinetry and headed the design department.

In 1972 Yvonne met the love of her life, Garry Dedick, at a local ice-skating rink. The two dated for almost two years and were married on 08/10/1974 at Wood Dale Baptist Church in Wood Dale IL. Together they started a life together in Lombard and eventually settled in Wheaton. Yvonne and Garry worked to build a business and raise a family, they enjoyed 51 years of marriage.

In her free time Yvonne liked to care for animals. She also enjoyed crafting. Yvonne also loved to travel, over the years she visited many places including Maui. She most enjoyed traveling to any place with a beach, her favorite beach to visit was Kaanapali Beach and she took all her family there many times.

Yvonne leaves behind her beloved husband Garry Dedick; her loving children Garry Jr, Cory, Jeffery and daughter Stacy Dedick. Adored grandchildren Garry III, Caleigh, Jack, Lucie Dedick and great grandson Weston.  She is also survived by her brothers Dan & Wille Grifford and sister Kathryn Grifford. Yvonne was deeply loved by all who knew her and will be missed.

The Visitation will be held on Sunday November 9, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM with a Funeral Service at 3:00 PM at Hultgren Funeral Home – Wheaton, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, IL 60187.
