Yolanda Maria Villar, 96, of Delavan, WI, formerly of Addison, IL, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025. She was born on June 3, 1929, in Piura, Peru, to Agusto Martens and Esperanza Arrunategui.

Yolanda grew up in Lima, Peru and attended a Catholic school through 8th grade. As a child she enjoyed making homemade Peruvian coffee lattes, jumping rope, and playing hide and seek with her younger two sisters. She met the love of her life, Jose Villar, when she was 20 years old. Together they emigrated to the United States and got married in 1956. They purchased a three flat in Chicago, and lived there until 1985 before moving to Addison, IL. While Yolanda did many things in her life, she believed that being an excellent wife and mother was of the utmost importance and directed the vast majority of her energy towards her family. Yolanda, along with her husband, taught their children the value of family, the Spanish language and to respect their Peruvian heritage. Yolanda's family will always remember her special Peruvian cooked meals and hosting fun family parties.

Yolanda accepted the Lord personally as her Savior, at age 78. Due to her illness, she was not able to attend church in person; however, one thing she really enjoyed was watching Charles Stanley on TV. every Sunday morning. She also enjoyed reading and studying scripture with her daughters.

She is survived by her three children, Elizabeth Michelle (Marvin) Bonnstetter, Eve Carol (Richard) St. Marie, Marco Alex (Cara) Villar, and son in law Al Walton. Adored grandmother of 13 grandchildren and a doting great grandmother to 34 great grandchildren, and her.

Yolanda was preceded in passing by her parents, her husband of 53 years, Jose Villar, and is reunited with her daughter, America Yolanda Walton, in heaven. Yolanda will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

The Visitation will be held on Friday July 18, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with a service at 11:00 AM at Bethel Community Church, 7601 W Foster Ave, Chicago, IL 60656. The burial will be held privately at Eden Memorial Park Cemetery in Schiller Park, IL. Arrangements entrusted to Hultgren Funeral Home, Wheaton, IL.
