Obituary

YEFROSYNIYA VASILIIEVNA PATRAMAN was born on October 28, 1929 and was welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven on February 22, 2017. She lived a beautiful, exemplary Christian life by living and working in quietness, just as Christ has called us in 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12.  Yefrosyniya proved to be a very loving and caring mother, grandmother, and greatgrandmother.  She had an accomplished career in addition to being active in her church in the Ukraine.  She was in high demand for holiday gatherings, and eagerly attended many of the important events in the lives of her extended "family."  Yefrosyniya was preceded in death by her husband, Mina Afanasiyevich Patraman, her parents, Vasiliy Arhipovich Melnichenko and Agrepina Yakimovna Katrechko, her sister, Natasha Krochmar, her brother, Ivan Melnichenko, and her brother, Fyodor Melnichenko.  She is survived by her daughter, Valentyna (Valya) Koval, daughter Lidiya (Lida) Minovna Blashchuk, son-in-law, Yuriy Blashchuk, son, Anatolii (Tolik) Patraman, and daughter-in-law, Lyudmila Anatoliyevna Patraman, along with many grandchildren, Lyudmila (Lyuda) Emily Stateman, Lyubov Blashchuk, Yaroslav Blashchuk, Aleksander (Sasha) Blashchuk, Tatyana (Tanya) Yunkin, Diana Yuzvak; Paul Patraman and Eugene (Jenya) Patraman, her Grandsons-in-law:  Brad A. Stateman, Alexander Yunkin, and Andrew Yuzvak, along with many great-grandchildren – Natalie (Natasha), Violet (Violeta), and Darcie Stateman; Kira & Arthur Patraman, and Roman Yuzvak and Ruslan Yuzvak. A service honoring Yefrosyniya Vasiliyevna Patraman will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at the Compass Church at 520 E Roosevelt Rd, Wheaton, IL 60187 with visitation from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm and service at 12:00 p.m. Pastor Rick Pierson officiating.  She will be laid to rest at the Wheaton Cemetery, 1209 Warrenville Rd, Wheaton, IL 60189.  Yefrosyniya will be greatly missed by her friends, and especially by her family members, who knew her as "grandma Frosya" or "Бабушка Фрося".
