William E. "Bill" Wendt II, age 54, a resident of West Chicago, having grown up in Wheaton, died January 11, at Central Dupage Hospital. He was born July 13, 1953 to William and Mary Jane Wendt.
Bill was an electrician for IBEW Local 701 for over 30 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in Minnesota.
He is survived by his wife, Vicky; three sons, John (Claudia), Bill, and Bob Wendt, and their mother, Kit Wendt; a step-son, Sean McGinnis; step-daughter, Tracy (Richard) Leister; his sisters, Debbie Wendt, Pam (Bill) Eichhorst, and Kim (Roger) Hommerding; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Mickie Wendt of Wheaton, IL and Richmond, MN.
A visitation will be held on Monday, January 14, from 3-8 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. in Wheaton, where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 15, at 11 a.m. with interment to follow at Glen Oak Cemetery in West Chicago.
