William Richard Volkmar, age 50, a resident of Indianapolis, IN, died August 21, 2017, at Castleton Healthcare Center, 7630 E. 86th St., Indianapolis, IN 46256 in Indianapolis. He was born June 6, 1967 in Lathrop, NY.

As a youth, he lived in Bloomingdale, IL and graduated from Glenbard North High School. He attended college at Northern Illinois University. He worked as a carpenter until his health kept him from doing so. He liked to work with his hands, build and race 4WD vehicles, fish, and spend time with family and friends. He belonged to 4WD groups in IL and IN. He lived in Gulf Shores, AL for approximately 14 years before relocating to Indiana to be close to family.

Rich is survived by his mother (Karen) and brother (Karl), and was preceded in death by his father (William).

Interment was held at Wheaton Cemetery in Wheaton, Illinois.
