IN LOVING MEMORY OF
William H.
Lambert
March 30, 1953 – November 23, 2024
William H. Lambert, age 71, a resident of Carol Stream, IL, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024. He was born on March 30, 1953 in Chicago, IL.
Bill grew up in Glen Ellyn Countryside and attended Glenbard North High School where he graduated in 1971. It was in the band room at Glenbard North where he met his high school sweetheart, Rhonda Ford. Bill continued his education at North Central College in Naperville, IL where he graduated in 1975.
Bill loved music (especially The Beatles) and was a talented musician playing bass guitar, piano, and saxophone. His performances ranged from Jr High musical productions, wedding bands, worship band, and most recently, for several years, with the Yorkville Big Band. Bill was also a creative artist, gifted in his drawings and paintings. Though he never owned one, Bill loved old cars, marveling at their timeless charm. His friendly and outgoing nature made him a true people person, a quality he carried throughout his 30-year career as an insurance agent with MetLife. In retirement, he became a beloved member of the Panera Bread team, where he was known for welcoming everyone with warmth and a friendly greeting. With Bill's unique sense of humor he had an ability to bring a smile to everyone's face.
Bill's greatest joy was his family. As "Paw Paw," he doted on his grandchildren with unmatched love and pride, often bragging about their accomplishments to anyone who would listen. He cherished his family deeply and made sure they knew how proud he was of each one of them.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Rhonda; his children Kelly (Ben) Eddy & Billy (Heather) Lambert; his grandchildren Kyle & Lauren Eddy and Will & Marni Lambert; his mother-in-law Marlys Stankowski; his sister-in-law Cheryl (Doug) Knox; his nephew Stephen (Jess) Knox & niece Sara (Michael) Hunter; and his grand-nieces & nephew: Maddie & Cate Knox and Remy Hunter and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents William & Eva Lambert and his father-in-law Stan Stankowski.
