Bill Hooten, age 82, a resident of Lombard, IL, died Tuesday, November 10, 2015, at home. He was born February 22, 1933 in Chicago, IL.
Bill worked for Wilbert Inc. as a welder/fabricator for 33 years. He was a member of the Lombard Assembly of God Church for 20 years; and prior to that he was the Pastor of a home church for 20 years.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 63 years, Janet "Jan"; his daughters, Becky (Kelly) Fik, Linda (Dennis) Shanahan and Judy Jeffries; seven granddaughters, Jeneanne (Johan) Ericsson, Charlene (Mark) Heppner, Kathleen and Francine Shanahan, Christy (Aaron) Loos, and Carrie and Beth Jeffries; ten great-grandchildren, Lucas, Isaac, Norah and Felix Ericsson, Sarina and Chase Heppner, and Waylon, Mabel, Cort and Kalina Loos.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert & Ruby Hooten; and his brother, Eugene Hooten.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at the
Lombard Assembly of God Church
, 447 W. North Ave., in Lombard, IL. A private Committal Service will be held soon at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
