Obituary

William C. "Bill" Hensel, age 68, a resident of Wheaton, IL, died Saturday, June 29, 2013, at home in Wheaton, IL. He was born February 8, 1945 in Evanston, IL.

Bill was an avid fisherman and was especially proud of catching his "cuda". He worked for BP for over 30 years as an engineer. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He never met a stranger and loved spending time with his family and friends, especially over a bottle of wine. He had a generous spirit and often thought of others before himself.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Linda; his daughter, Traci (Erik) Schroeder of Chicago, IL; his sisters, Kathie (Ted) McHugh of Mt. Prospect, IL and Peg (Jim) Kritek of Northbrook, IL; brother-in-law, Rick (Leslie) Wagner; and sisters-in-law, Barbara (Jerry) Louden, and Janice (Curtis Lloyd) Powers.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of a memorial service to be held at 7:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, IL. Interment will be private.
