William Merle Fowee, 81, of Wheaton, passed away on March 10, 2020.

Bill was born in Falmouth, Kentucky, the son of John and Mirla (Leach) Fowee, and younger brother of Carolyn Noell, all deceased. He moved to Cincinnati with his family as a young boy. He graduated from Withrow High School in 1956. In October that same year he enlisted in the Army. He received basic training at Fort Knox in Kentucky. Bill served in the Army Reserves as a specialist for three and a half years. Bill was a career employee of the Procter & Gamble Company in Cincinnati, retiring in February 1998 with 40 years of service. That same year, Sue and Bill moved to Wheaton to be near their son and granddaughter, whom he adored. Every summer since retirement, he honed his farming skills and grew the most delicious garden plot of tomatoes. Bill had a wonderful sense of humor, an endless amount of curiosity and the skillset of a handyman.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Sue; son Roger (Diana); granddaughter Kate (Jordan Gasaway); brother-in-law George Noell; nephew Chris Noell and niece Cathy Noell.

Services will be held privately.
