William C. Dent III, age 54, a resident of Carol Stream, for over 20 years, died unexpectedly at home on Monday, January 27, 2014. He was born October 10, 1959 in Oak Park to William and Lois Dent.

Bill grew up in Addison and graduated from Addison Trail High School. He met Robin Rogers at the Elm Roller Rink in Elmhurst and they were married on September 22, 1979. He was a Local 134 IBEW electrician.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and playing tennis and golf with his grandson. He would never miss one of his family's sporting events. He also enjoyed watching movies, conversation and entertaining friends and family. He was a caring and giving person, who was always there for his friends.

He is survived by his wife, Robin Dent, four sons, Brian (Christina) of Chicago, Brandon (Jessica) of North Aurora, William Clarence Dent IV (Cathleen) of Naperville, and Bradley (Monique) of Carol Stream, two grandchildren, Kyden and Atessa, and one expected in May. He is also survived by his sister, Debra L. Dent of Addison. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 31, from 3 to 9 at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304, N. Main St. in Wheaton, where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 1, at 10:00 a.m.
