Wilford E. Jordan, age 96, a resident of Aurora, IL, and formerly a longtime resident of Xenia, OH, passed away on Friday, March 9, 2018, peacefully at home. He was born May 28, 1921 in Ash Ridge, OH to Wilmer and Minnie Jordan.

Wilford served in the U.S. Army at the end of WWII. During his tour of duty he married Grace Marie Deck in North Carolina on July 10, 1944. He was a longtime employee of Kroehler Furniture Manufacturing Company. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Xenia. He and Grace moved to Aurora in 2001 to be near family. Even until recently, he was an avid gardener.

He is survived by his daughters, Kathryn Jordan and Karen (Charles) Niuman, three grandchildren, Valerie (John) Broschka, Melissa (Michael) Thiem and David (Jenifer) Niuman, 12 great grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 70 years, and one sister, Gladys.

Services will be held privately. Interment will take place at North Cemetery in Cedarville Township, Greene County, Ohio.
