IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Werner Kure
Dick
May 16, 1927 – November 12, 2022
Werner Kure Dick, 95, lifetime resident of Wheaton and Glen Ellyn, entered the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 12, 2022 at Brighton Gardens in Wheaton. Werner was born on May 16, 1927 in Chicago IL and was the only child born to Magda and Einar Dick. He married Nancy Ann Underhill on September 9, 1949 and they were married for 73 years.
Werner worked as a structural steel detailer for his father's company, the Einar K. Dick Company, which later became the Werner K. Dick Company. He was a founding and long-time member of Pleasant Hill Community Church where he ran the sound system for years and was actively involved in their mission's ministries.
He loved his family dearly and always looked forward to family gatherings, no matter how chaotic. He enjoyed photography and stamp collecting as well as watching the Bears, Bulls and Cubs. He was so happy to have lived long enough to see the Cubs win the World Series.
Werner is survived by his wife Nancy, son David Dick (Diane), daughters Kathleen Rudolph, Susan Daggett, Sally Lewis (Chuck), and grandchildren Sarah (Joe), Christopher, Chuck, Jr. (Megan), Steven (Tessa), David, Jr., Daniel, and great granddaughter Aftyn. He is preceded in death by his parents, Einar & Magda Dick. There will be a family only private burial. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Pleasant Hill Community Church Missions Fund, 26W401 Geneva Rd., Wheaton, IL 60187.
