Warren Parent was born in Chicago 3 September 1922, the only son of Kenneth A. Parent and Eugenie C. Lasser. He grew up on the South Side, with the exception of a brief residency in Wheaton 1928-30.
After graduating from Parker High School, Warren worked as a foreman in the steel mills until entering the Army Air Corps just after Pearl Harbor. After demobilization with the rank of Captain, Warren and Janice returned to Chicago, where Warren began a life-long career in insurance sales and brokerage. In 1987, Warren retired from Carroon Black as a Vice President.
In 1950, after the birth of their two sons, Kenneth and Kurt, Warren brought the family to Wheaton. Warren was active in the Wheaton Drama Club in the 1950's and '60's. He was an avid outdoorsman and hunter, enjoyed boating at his Florida residence, and traveled regularly and with enthusiasm.
After Janice's death, in April 1991, Warren married Rosemarie Cruger, who survives, as well as sons Kenneth (Ruth) and Kurt (Marla); grandchildren Kenneth Scott, Kirsten Parent, Kelly Parent, and Kevin Parent; and one great-grandson Kaden Story.
