Captain Warren Frank Moore, Sr., retired USMC, born March 23, 1921 to the late Carl and Marion Moore died at home on January 22, 2014. Graduated Parker High School in 1939 and Illinois Institute of Technology in 1948. During WWII he left IIT to enlist in the Marine Air Corps and flew the Corsair in the Pacific Theater. Married Peggy Lou Jones on February 10, 1946. Warren was recalled to the Marines in 1951 and flew the Banshee on 38 reconnaissance missions in Korea, receiving the Distinguished Flying Cross for a dangerous mission. Worked as a Project Engineer for Universal Oil Products for over 30 years. Warren and Peggy raised 4 children: Lynda (William) McKay, Nancy (Warren) Beach, April (Peter) Kasper, and Warren II (Tami Hultgren). He loved his 13 grandchildren: Derek (Allison), Caroline, Eliza, Samantha, Johanna, Amy (Matthew), Peter (Justyna), Benjamin, Rebekka (Pedro), Taryn (David), Warren III (Brittany), Timothy, and Tessa, and his 13 great grandchildren: Jordan, Samuel, Emelia, Isabel, Lily, Ava, Sydney, Charlotte, Ellie, Julia, Johanna, Tessa, and Lennox. Warren accepted Jesus as his Savior at the age of 25 and walked with God to the end. Proverbs 18:4 says, "A wise man's words express deep streams of thought." Memorial Service on Saturday, February 1 at The Orchard Free Church in Arlington Heights at 1:00 p.m. Visitation follows.
