Warren Kramer, age 89, a resident of Sunrise Assisted Living in Naperville and formerly of Morton Grove and Evanston, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 8. He was born on July 27, 1923.
Warren grew up in Evanston. He married Nancy Kramer on May 29, 1948. They lived in Morton Grove for almost 50 years and then moved to Naperville to be closer to their children. He was active at Trinity Lutheran Church in Evanston where he was a deacon and active member of the Golden-agers.
He loved to spend time at the beach or the pool, to go to Cubs games, and especially to play golf. He and Nancy traveled all over the world. His wife was the love of his life.
He is survived by his children, Jeff (Janet) Kramer of Salt Lake City, UT, Julie Murphy of Oswego and Tom (Cathy) Kramer of Wheaton; 8 grandchildren, Lindsay, Eric, Jennifer, Matthew, Andy, Laura, Ashley (Alex) and Scott; and one great-granddaughter, Hannah.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy; and his sister, Doris.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 14, from 5-7 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. in Wheaton, where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 15 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Skokie at 12:00pm.
