Warren E. Carlson, age 86, a resident of Windsor Park Manor in Carol Stream, IL died Saturday, May 2, at Windsor's Johnson Health Care Center. He was born June 17, 1922 in Chicago, IL.
Warren worked as an engineer at CPC International for 37 years. He also taught engineering at the Illinois Institute of Technology Evening School. He was a Fellow of the Instrument Society of America. He volunteered as a consultant at HCJB Radio Ministries. During World War II he served in the US Infantry. He was an active member of College Church in Wheaton for 54 years.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Elizabeth; seven children, David (Henri) of Glendale, AZ, Jonathan (Vonnie) of Herrick, IL, Thomas (Rebecca) of Houston, TX, Sarah (David) Hunter of St. Louis, MO, Priscilla (Vincent) Eisaman of Fredonia, NY, Rebecca (Scott) Lubinski of West Chicago, IL, and Peter (Eric Kamm) of Los Angeles, CA; sixteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his sister, Mildred Maas of Rockford, IL; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Norman.
A visitation will be held on Monday, May 4, from 6-8 P.M. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 5, at 10:00 A.M. at Windsor Park Manor, 124 Windsor Park Drive, in Carol Stream. Interment is private at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
