Vsevolod Ustinovich, age 86, a resident of Carol Stream, IL, died January 22, 2014, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, Illinois. He was born April 1, 1927 in Belarus USSR.
Vsevolod served in the Russian Navy during WWII as a radio operator on minesweepers on the Baltic Sea. After the war he continued his education and met Felya Kembrovskaya. They were married on March 25, 1952. He worked at a manufacturing plant in Vyborg, Russia as a Chief Electrical Engineer.
He had a good sense of humor and enjoyed telling stories about his time in the military. He loved being with his family, the outdoors and fishing with his grandson. He enjoyed playing checkers and chess and was an avid reader. Picking mushrooms in the woods with his family was a favorite memory.
He is survived by his wife, Felya and two daughters, Galina Sakulina of Vyborg, Russia and Svetlana Shiyka of Glen Ellyn, three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24 at 11:00 a.m. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m until the service time at 11:00. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Winfield, Illinois.
