Violet Simms' Obituary
Violet Simms, age 95, a resident of Wheaton, IL, died July 7, 2011, at her home in Wheaton, IL. She was born December 18, 1915 in England.
Violet worked as an executive secretary at Marsh McClennan Insurance in downtown Chicago, IL. After retirement she worked at the College of DuPage. She was an avid gardener, traveler, and was a member of the Wheaton History Club, Wheaton Department Club, and the First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton, IL.
She is survived by her nephew, Jack Simms of Mount Prospect, IL; her beloved caregiver, Linda; and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Jack and Maggie Simms; and her brother, Jack.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of a funeral service to be held at 11:00 a.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, IL. Interment will follow at Wheaton Cemetery.
Memorial gifts may be directed to CNS Home Health and Hospice, 690 E. North Ave., Carol Stream, IL 60188.
