Obituary

Victoria Martino, lovingly known as Vikki to those dearest to her, passed away on August 14, 2025, surrounded by her family. Born on July 12, 1953, in Oak Park, Illinois, Victoria's life was a beautiful reflection of kindness, sharp wit, patience, and gentle strength. She carried with her a calm presence that brought comfort and peace to everyone around her.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, John Martino; her loving daughters, Drew Martino-Fiorentino and Leigh Martino; and her cherished grandsons, Luca and Leo Fiorentino. She is also survived by her brother, Jim, and her sister, Joan, who will hold her memory close in their hearts. Her family's love and admiration for her are boundless, and they will forever carry her spirit forward.

Vikki found joy in life's simplest moments—being with her family, going for leisurely drives with John, wandering through nurseries, eating breakfast at State Diner or strolling through gardens like the Morton Arboretum and Cantigny.

She had a love for sewing, quilting, and gardening, pursuits that brought her both peace and purpose. Above all, her heart belonged to her family. She was always at the center of gatherings, creating traditions, laughter, and memories that will last for generations.

Together with John, she also shared a love of travel, dining out, and attending concerts. Some of her favorite places to visit included Saint Thomas, Hawaii, Saint Lucia, Colorado, and Maine—destinations that brought her joy and where many happy memories were made.

Victoria's life was a testament to quiet strength, unwavering love, and endless kindness. She touched the lives of all who knew her, leaving behind warmth and light that will never fade. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit, love, and gentle presence will continue to guide and inspire us.

There will be no formal service, but a celebration of life will be held in her honor at her favorite place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network in memory of Victoria Martino, to support early detection of pancreatic cancer.
