Obituary
Tyrone J Hackney Sr, age 64, a long term resident of Winfield, died Friday, April 28. He was born in Chicago on June 20, 1941.
Mr. Hackney was proud of being a pilot for Midway Commuter Airline and working at both the Soo and Burlington railroads. He loved his role as an umpire and referee for many local and regional basketball and baseball competitions.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Arlene; his children, Tyrone (Lorrie) Hackney Jr., Lynn, Matthew, and Maureen Hackney; his brother, David (Cathy) Hackney; sister, Bunnie (Brian) Passmore; and his grandchildren, Tyler and Ashley Hackney.
A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, May 13th, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of a service at 11:00 A.M. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N Main Street, in Wheaton. Interment is private.
Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association, 801 N Cass Ave, # 200, Westmont, IL 60559; or to the American Diabetes Association, 30 N. Michigan Ave., Suite 2015, Chicago, IL 60602.
