Trudi Christine Evenson (nee Templin) of Wheaton, IL passed away on Friday, March 9 ^th 2018 at the age of  66.  She was born on January 14, 1952 to Willi and Marie Templin in Chicago, IL.

Trudi grew up in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago attending Saint Luke School in Chicago where her father was also the custodian for the school.  She attended Luther North High School in Chicago. Trudi and was a member of the A Capella choir and was selected to tour with the choir throughout Europe in 1969 where she also served as the unofficial translator while in Germany.  Trudi graduated high school in 1970 and attended Chicago Circle Campus (UIC) majoring in German Studies.  It was in college that she met her future husband, George Evenson.

Trudi and George were married in 1974 in Chicago and were married for nearly 44 years. Throughout their many years together they lived in the Chicago area and also in Scottsdale, Arizona.  Trudi and George had many adventures together traveling throughout Europe, the Caribbean, and even to Southeast Asia. For the last 10 years, Trudi and George could be found on weekends out on their boat at their lake house in central Illinois.

Trudi was an active mother in her daughter Erika's school years volunteering as a room mother, band mom, and even headed up the PTA.  She was a lover of music both vocally and in playing piano and passed that love of music onto her daughter.  Trudi could be found on most nice summer days in her garden where she enjoyed tending her many flowers and vegetables.

Trudi is survived by her husband, George Evenson and her daughter, Erika Evenson.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Willi and Marie and her beloved sister, Marlies Kickert.  Trudi leaves behind cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws along with many beloved friends who will all miss her dearly.

A memorial visitation will be held Thursday, March 15 ^th from 4:00pm – 8:00pm with a memorial service at 8:00pm at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Wheaton, IL.

Internment will be private.
