Todd W.
Hass
April 17, 1964 – October 12, 2021
Todd W. Hass, age 57, a longtime resident of Lombard, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2021. He was born April 17, 1964 in Hinsdale, Illinois to Richard & Doris Hass.
Todd was the youngest of five children. He was a happy child who loved to follow his siblings (especially his older brother) around and imitate whatever they were doing – which sometimes resulted in a little mischief! In turn, his siblings enjoyed doting over and caring for Todd where sometimes their main job was to keep him out of trouble! Todd enjoyed the outdoors and loved spending time with his family at the cottage roasting marshmallows and hiking on his grandpa's shoulders. From an early age he had a passion for airplanes and flying and a love for this country which led him to serve in the U.S. Air Force. In his adulthood, Todd treasured family gatherings especially the chili cookoffs, where his competitive nature shined through.
Todd was married for 27 years to the love of his life. One of the best things to happen to Todd was his two children. He was so proud watching them grow into amazing adults. He enjoyed watching Clemson games, talking about history and our military as well as always being up for a good political debate. He was a marvelous cook and baker of which he loved teaching his kids how cook. Todd was a USAF veteran and was proud to serve our great country.
He is survived by his former wife Kathy Hass; his children Natalie & Paul Hass; his siblings Georgia (Ed) Lang, Marion (Steve) Smrecek, Melinda (Robert) Rosebraugh & Phillip (Lisa) Hass. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and his faithful canine companion Dakota.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
