Obituary

Timothy Joel Werner, age 69, a resident of Marengo, IL went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 15, 2025. He was born in San Diego, CA and raised by Walter and Hilda Werner.

Tim LOVED his job at School District 59. He got to drive various trucks to the 15 different schools to make repairs on anything with an engine! Tim was born with a steering wheel in his hands. He has owned many different vehicles, mostly fast muscle cars. The only thing that he liked more than driving them, was fixing them. And he had a real gift for doing that. In fact, he was known to be willing to help almost anyone with a car problem. Such a big heart! In Tim's down time, he was found relaxing with his wife, Carol and their dogs. Most people who knew Tim lately, had to listen to him talk about his "fierce dog," Sadie. Most nights, after work, he could be found playing his guitar, working on his model train layout or, of course, working in his garage.

From the beginning of their marriage, Tim and Carol would kneel by their bed, and Tim would pray for "Jon, Cindi and Lori" and "Thank you for the roof over our head, the food we eat and beds we sleep in." Although, as dementia took over, those times of prayer began to fade, Tim always had a powerful, yet quiet, humble reverence for God.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Carol. Father to Jonathon (Heather), Cynthia and Lori Ann. Grandfather to Matthew, Makenzie, Drew, Jacob and David. Brother to Walter (Suzanne), Wayne, Peter (Leila), Paul (Cecelia), Karl (Kristy), Charlotte (John) and Florence (Robert). Brother-in-law to Michael, David (Marie), Wayne (Barb) and Joel. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter Werner and Hilda Burzynski, his brother, Wayne and his son, Jonathon.
