Timothy Patrick Gerster, age 75, passed away peacefully on the evening of May 23, 2023. He was born on March 17, 1948, in Chicago, Illinois to Frank and Mary (née Shea).

Tim grew up in Chicago and attended St. Ferdinand elementary school and Steinmetz Highschool, class of 1966. In highschool, he met his future wife, Michele "Mikki" (née Chocian). They were married on May 16, 1970 and built their lives in Melrose Park, Illinois, where they raised five children and lived for over 50 years.

Tim was a proud member of the IOUE Local 399, and worked as a stationery engineer until his retirement in 2010. He enjoyed spending time with Mikki, playing with his electronic gadgets, and fishing. He was always on standby to help all of his kids and grandkids with home projects and fixing anything broken.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Baby John and Frank "Butch." He is survived by his devoted wife, Mikki; sons Timothy (Monica) and Shawn (Kim); daughters Kathryn (Anthony), Colleen, and Michaelene (Jon-Paul); grandchildren Elle, Olivia, Aidan, Miles, Brenna, Mikaela, and Elliot; and nieces and nephews Christine (Larry), Kevin, Josh, Katrina, and Aiden.
