Tim Baergen, age 68, a resident of Naperville, IL, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 19, 2018  at home.  He was born October 15, 1949 in Chicago to Al and Marilyn Baergen.

He grew up on the north side of Chicago and graduated from Schurz High School. He graduated from the Moody Bible Institute, the University of Illinois and the Art Center School of Design in Pasadena, California. He spent his entire career in positions which he was able to use his unique creative talents. As a Creative Director or Art Director in advertising, he worked at companies such as BBDO, Leo Burnett, J. Walter Thompson, Ayer and most recently Aspen Marketing/Epsilon in West Chicago in the role of Associate Creative Director.

Tim was first and foremost a strong believer in Jesus Christ and a family man. He was an active member in his current and past churches, volunteering for the AWANA children's ministry, youth ministry and choir, among others.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon D. Baergen, four children, Jeffrey (Colleen) Baergen of Delaware, OH, Mariel (Joe) Abelar of Grass Valley, CA, Christopher Baergen of Upland, CA and Kamarie Baergen of Nashville, TN, four step-children, Brenden (Laurentina) Marquardt of Houston, TX, Kyle (Ndunge) Marquardt of Chicago, IL, Christa (Mark) Ede of Round Lake, IL and Jenna (Rodney) Fisher of Houston, TX, eight grandchildren, his mother, Marilyn Baergen, two siblings, Dianne (Harry) Leadingham and David (Dianne) Baergen, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jill, his father and one sister, Sharon A. Baergen.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Grace Church of DuPage , where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Wheaton Cemetery in Wheaton, Illinois.
