Thomas E. Price, age 51, of Wheaton, died Tuesday, December 5, at Central Dupage Hospital in Winfield after a long battle with T Cell Lymphoma. He was born October 3, 1955, in South Bend, IN.
Tom He was a skilled musician and nature photographer, who also enjoyed writing stories for young people. He was known for his compassion for children and young adults, who needed a helping hand and a listening ear. His family cherishes the way he helped so many to move on with their lives. During his illness he permitted his doctors to use him to facilitate research into a cure for his disease. He lovingly called himself "God's guinea pig."
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Normajean; his daughter, whom he called "His Blessing," Sarah Virginia Price; his sisters, Mary (Roger) Price, Joan Price; his brother, Robert Price; and his nephew, Chris Walke.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Virginia Price; and his infant brother, Joseph Price.
A memorial service will be held at the Evangelical Free Church, 520 E. Roosevelt Rd., on Saturday, December 9, at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Bruce Love officiating. Interment is private.
