Thomas Alexander Morrison, age 64, went to be with his Lord and Savior on the morning of August 19, 2013 in Wheaton, Illinois. He spent his life serving others, including his family and his financial planning clients. Tom lived life to the fullest with a great sense of humor and compassion for others. His passion for the outdoors included sailing, camping, canoeing, bird watching, biking and running. Tom volunteered in Cook County Prison Ministries, taught Sunday School, and participated in Huddle Men's Bible study at Wheaton Bible Church.

Born November 2, 1948 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, he received a Bachelors of Business Administration from Temple University. Following six years of service in the United States Army Reserves, he moved to the Chicago area and attended Emmaus Bible College in Oak Park, Illinois. He started his career at a small CPA firm before becoming VP and Controller at Door Systems, Inc. In 1983, he established Morrison Financial Services which he operated until August 2012, when he joined Benjamin F. Edwards & Co. and the Hanson-Fisher Wealth Management Group. He was respected and admired by many of his clients for his integrity and concern for their personal welfare.

Tom married the love of his life, Joan Niemeier Morrison, December 26, 1980. They have three children: Leslie (Scott) Mathews, Ross (fiancé Karin Sweas) Morrison, Brooke (Davis) Moore, and three grandchildren Landon, Brynne and Paige Mathews.

He is also survived by his 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 22 at 7:00 p.m. at Wheaton Bible Church, 27W500 North Avenue, West Chicago, Illinois 60185. There will be a memorial reception following the service.
