Thomas Burgess's Obituary
Thomas Burgess, age 94, a resident of Wheaton, IL and formerly of Cleves, OH, died Thursday, October 2, at home. He was born May 9, 1914 in Hooven, OH.
Mr. Burgess was a retired hardware store owner and repairman. He served during World War II in the US Navy. He was a member of the USS ST LO CVE-63/VC-65 Association of the US Navy.
He is survived by his daughter, Linda K. (Rev. Stephen B.) Kellough of Wheaton, IL; and his grandson, Jeffrey S. (Sheralynn) Kellough of Burr Ridge, IL.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Burgess, nee Sweeder; and three brothers, Oliver, Charles, and Kenneth Burgess.
Funeral services will be held in Harrison, OH at Minges Funeral Home (513-367-4544) with the Rev. Stephen Kellough officiating. Interment will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery in Cleves, OH.
Memorial gifts may be directed to Zion Methodist Church, 4980 Zion Road, Cleves, OH 45002.
Local arrangements are being handled by Hultgren Funeral Home in Wheaton, IL.
