Therese A. Wyer-Rauschenberger, age 80, a resident of Carol Stream, and formerly of Winfield, died Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, IL. She was born November 26, 1929 in Bellmore, NY.

Therese had a green thumb and loved gardening, she loved birds and raised finches. Above all else she loved her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her four children, Raymond (MaryAnn) Wyer, Jr. of West Chicago, IL, Anne (Allan) Castan of Winfield, IL, Kathy (Tim) Hamand of Pinellas Park, FL, and Michael (Cheryl) Wyer of Carol Stream, IL; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Dr. Raymond Wyer; her second husband, Russell Rauschenberger; five children; and three brothers.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 14, from 4-8 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, IL. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 15, at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 0S233 Church St., in Winfield, IL, followed by interment at Assumption Cemetery in Winfield, IL. Prayers will be said at the funeral home before the Mass at 9:30 a.m.
