Theodore "Ted" B. Weiberg,Jr., age 82, a resident of Wheaton, died at home on Sunday, July 1. He was born in Sunrise, Minnesota on October 18, 1924 to Theodore and Laura Weiberg.

He served in the US Navy during WWII in the south pacific and Alaska from 1942 until 1945. He also served during the Korean War. Ted worked for 45 years in the printing industry with Miehle, Goss, Dexter and the McCain Manufacturing Company.

He grew up at the Addison St. Baptist Church in Chicago, where he worked with the Boy Scouts and as superintendent of the Sunday School. He enjoyed softball and played first base in the church league. For the last 30 years, he has been a member of the Wheaton Evangelical Free Church, where he was very involved with the Kupples Klass and the visitor center.

Ted is survived by his wife of 45 years, Eleanor, four children, Glen (Karla) Weiberg of Bensenville, Nancy (Gene) Jones of San Diego, CA, Chip (Colleen) Weiberg of Sugar Grove, and Laura (Greg) Bandemer of Canton, GA, nine grandchildren, Glen Jr. and Melissa Weiberg, Aimee Sellin, Eric Jones, Justin and Janelle Weiberg and Lexi, Alyson and Ashley Bandemer, two great-grandchildren, Kassidy Sellin and Kaija Oberg.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Joan Anderson and Jill Weldon, and one grandson, Ryan Jones.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 5, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 6 , at 11:00 a.m. at the Wheaton Evangelical Free Church, 520 E. Roosevelt Rd. in Wheaton, IL 60187, where friends may visit with the family from 10:00 to 11:00.

Interment will be held privately.
